Course Description

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) - UG Program:

BPT is an undergraduate program that trains students to become physiotherapists, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of physical disabilities, injuries, and disorders. The program typically spans 4 years of academic study followed by a 1-year compulsory internship. The curriculum includes subjects such as anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, pathology, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, and rehabilitation techniques. Students learn various hands-on techniques like manual therapy, massage, and the use of modern equipment to aid in physical recovery and rehabilitation. After completing the BPT program, graduates are equipped to work in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, sports clinics, and other healthcare settings, helping patients recover from musculoskeletal issues, neurological disorders, or post-surgical rehabilitation.

MPT (Master of Physiotherapy) - PG Program:

MPT is a postgraduate program that provides advanced knowledge and specialization in physiotherapy. The program typically lasts 2 years after completing the BPT degree. MPT allows students to specialize in various areas of physiotherapy, such as:

Orthopedic Physiotherapy – Focuses on musculoskeletal disorders, fractures, arthritis, and rehabilitation of orthopedic surgeries.
Neurological Physiotherapy – Deals with the rehabilitation of patients suffering from neurological conditions like stroke, spinal cord injury, or Parkinson’s disease.
Sports Physiotherapy – Focuses on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement for athletes.
